Shahid Afridi (Cricketer)
Upload Date: Fri 25 Nov 2016
Shahid Khan Afridi (born 1980) is a Pakistani professional cricketer and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. He also holds a record of taking most wickets (97) and most player-of-the match awards in Twenty20 International cricket.[1]For a start, the slant of his all-round skills only became clear ten years into his career; he is a leg-spinning allrounder. Variety is his calling and as well as a traditional leg-break, he has two googlies, a conventional office and a lethal faster one, though this is increasingly rare. All come with the threat of considerable, late drift. He fairly hustles through overs, which in limited-over formats is a weapon in itself and the package is dangerous.

Controversial Statement about Pakistan occupied Kashmir
Famous Cricketer Shahid Afridi is in hot water after giving his remarks regarding Pakistan occupied Kashmir issue. “I say Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. Don’t give it to India either. Let Kashmir be independent. At least humanity will be alive. Let people not die. Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. It can’t even manage its four provinces. The big thing is humanity. People who are dying there, it is painful. Any death, be it from any community, is painful,”. He gave this statement in a video which went viral on social media and Indians got no chill which forced Afridi to come on the twitter and clarify the issue. ” My comments are being misconstrued by Indian media! I’m passionate about my country and greatly value the struggles of Kashmiris. Humanity must prevail and they should get their rights.”
